The Global Oiled Wildlife Response Network (GOWRS) invited wildlife responders around the world to its webinar “Managing Oiled Wildlife Equipment Stockpiles,” the second webinar in the series “Preparing and Responding to Oiled Wildlife Incidents.” 46 people attended the webinar which looked at how equipment used for oiled wildlife response is managed to keep it at a state of readiness, so it can be deployed at a moment’s notice.

This webinar was the second of a series on Preparing and Responding to Oiled Wildlife Incidents. Over the course of the year, members of the GOWRS Network will present on more topics related to oiled wildlife response, preparedness, and rehabilitation. We plan to produce one webinar every three months or so and each webinar will be one hour in length, with a 45 minute presentation and 15 minutes reserved for questions.
Look out for more information on future webinars on our LinkedIn page or on this webpage.

Our four presenters introduce us to the types of equipment that can be used for the different phases of wildlife responses, how they are stored and what work is done to ensure that the equipment is fit for purpose and ready to be deployed.
